I just gave the funniest tango lesson ever this Saturday night.

As y’all know, I am passionate about two things: Argentine tango and Toastmasters, the public speech club.
Toastmasters Division D Fall Conference 2014
Combining both, I gave a hilarious tango class in the Runtotta café along Mónika Hajdu.

The cafe was packed with delicious pastries and drinks. A buzzing, vibrant atmosphere. Their sweets are fantastic.
The only question was how could I give a tango class in such a cozy but crowded environment. The place was full with chairs and tables, although the waitress would have happily helped me had I arrived in time.

Well, it turned out to be an interesting lesson…

Argentine tango dancers in the cafe :)

The team was very international, hungarians, slovakians, austrians among others in Budapest. Despite of having had a long and tiring day at the workshops most students were fresh, full of energy. Perhaps due to our great food or wine…? :)

We started with basics of tango and we ended with a fancy tango posture.

Since many people keep asking about how to go about starting to dance tango,Here is a short tutorial. It is tuned for Budapest-Hungary, but I think you could use most of the information anywhere else.

Thanks to Ildikó Szilágyi for the organization, for the participants and the Runtotta for the great fiesta!

See you all next time!
