If the Argentine Tango World Championship is the Olympic Games of tango, then the Buenos Aires City Championship – the Campeonato de Baile de la Ciudad – is Argentina’s national qualifier, where the country’s elite face off. This competition, simply known as the Metropolitano, is one of the most exciting tango events of the year, and today at 5:00 PM (UTC-3), it reaches its climax: the Grand Final.

Freediver, dancer and choreographer Ariadna Hafez was 10 metres underwater when she gracefully performed for ‘Tang’O,’ a three-minute film directed and produced by Frenchman Bastien Soleil. All scenes were shot 10m below the surface, with no air assistance.
